Caussün is the Provençal translation of chausson.

And this slipper is totally ecological and unique.

This organic slipper is a family story that began in 2020 in south-east France.

CAUSSÜN's designers take their passion for a job well done, useful and enjoyable to the very end by shipping their creations in 100% recyclable fabric bags, while the slippers themselves are packaged in a reusable or compostable bamboo fibre bag.

Nothing is left to chance. Production takes place in the world champions of shoe-making know-how, our neighbours and friends in Portugal.

Yes, our slippers are suitable for all types of feet. But if your foot is really wide, we advise you to choose the next size up.

No, our slippers are not waterproof. To optimise their quality, it's best to keep them indoors.

We pay particular attention to the selection of our materials to guarantee quality and eco-responsibility. Our wool, although 'virgin', is recycled wool. We source our wool from a Scop in the Ardèche region of France, which has developed a method for recycling short wool fibres.

Our products are designed in Marseille, France, and the art of handcrafting is in Portugal.

The raw materials come only from France, Italy and Portugal, because despite the obstacles, we do our utmost to stay as close to home as possible.

To care for your slippers, we recommend dry-cleaning first with Terre de Sommières or Bicarbonate of Soda to neutralise odours, for example. You can also try a damp cloth with mild Marseille soap. As a last resort, you can wash at 30° delicate.

Second life

At the end of their life, the wool parts, upper and insole are candidates for composting after being separated from the PET outsole. This part of the shoe therefore becomes a potential compost customer. This compost can be used to grow various plants and avoid the production of waste.

Rich in nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, the wool will help to fertilise the soil and enhance the life that develops there. This part can also be used to cover your potted outdoor plants and protect them from the cold.

These are raw, untreated materials that contain no harmful substances and will be assimilated by the soil through biodegradation.

Our delivery times are generally 3 to 4 working days. Deliveries are made on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. However, for certain products, the processing time may be longer. This will be indicated in red on the product sheet when you make your purchase.

Ordering and payment

Unfortunately, it is not possible to place an order in this case. However, we will be happy to inform you as soon as the desired pair is available again. Our slippers are restocked at regular intervals. Simply check their availability online or sign up for the alert.

We offer different methods of payment:

  • Payment via Paypal: you will be redirected to the Paypal site at the end of the order process. Please log in with your Paypal details and confirm the payment. You will then receive confirmation of your order on our website and by e-mail.
  • Payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express): if you pay by Visa or Mastercard, a form from your credit card issuer may appear during the next step. In this case, your card will use a 3DS security procedure (Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode). Please authorise payment in the appropriate form. Only then will you be redirected to the confirmation page and your order can be processed.

Your card will be debited when your order is confirmed. If you need to return the order to us, the amount of the order will be credited back to the payment method used.

Once you have validated your order, a confirmation will be sent to you automatically by email. If, however, you do not receive a confirmation from us (message refused as being treated as "spam"), please contact our customer service department, who will send you a new order confirmation manually.

The status of your order can be viewed directly in your account. In addition, we send an information email each time there is a change in status. Please check your spam folder if you have not received anything.

The returns are accepted under 14 days as from the date of reception (new articles, not used and returned in their packing of origin) and are the responsibility of the purchaser. In the event of an exchange, will cover the cost of a new shipment. For your exchange requests, we kindly ask you to contact us beforehand by opening a ticket in the "CONTACT" section.

First check that you have selected the correct size. Slippers that are out of stock are no longer available and therefore cannot be ordered. We make every effort to keep our website technically up to date.

Insert this code in the box labelled "promo code" in your basket. Once you have clicked on "apply promo code", the amount of your order will be automatically updated.

We will try to process your request as quickly as possible. If you have not received a reply, please also check your spam.

Click on the basket symbol in the right-hand corner and click on "X" to make the pair of slippers disappear. The pair of slippers will then be automatically removed from your basket.
